“I don’t understand what’s going on with this plant, they keep sending us wet and dirty gas” a frustrated Mary exclaimed. Each time this happened the process was torturous, the analyzers would go down and report an alarm. Adding to the annoyance this had been happening more frequently lately, and it was always up to Mary's team to strip down and carefully clean the analyzers to get them back up and running again. It's crucial that the analyzers are working properly since the quality of the gas entering the pipeline system had to be continously checked for contaminants, the most important being the dreaded H2S!
Uuugh not again! For the third time this summer Joe had just gotten the same service ticket with the same issue. Once again a small property on the edge of the network was reporting the smell of gas. Great can't wait thought Joe! He had already gone over the problem twice before, looking for leaks EVERYWHERE before finding out the odorizer upstream hadn’t been properly set for summer conditions.

Good News for Joe!
It's Tuesday afternoon and Joe has just finished his visit to one of the city gate stations. Joe has a smile on his face (indeed Joe does smile sometimes!). Three years ago when these new Pietro Fiorentini regulators were installed Joe was a nay-sayer. Something new – ‘better’ they told him, but every other time he heard that story, it never seemed to work. This time, it has worked, and they continue to work.
